For movie fans waiting to see Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince the wait is finally over! Fans across the country began to make the trek to the movies last week and over this weekend.... As for fans of the book series we know how the story ends and most of us accept that movies alter away from the books story line; for entertainment value. Most readers appreciate both movie and book story lines and how they come to terms with the plot. With summer reading on my Most Important Things Kids Can Do List.....I love that the movie excites kids into re-reading the book series.

Reading is a critical part of summer for students keeping up with their speed and reading levels. As illustrated in this cartoon, Timmy enjoys reading comic books! Comic books, coupled with novels and on line reading as well as magazines and news print reading helps to keep kids engaged and thinking. Share what your kids are reading this summer!
