The Top 10 "Wrong" Reasons Kids Do Homework
- I don't know why; just because...
- I don't want to get into trouble so I do it...
- Everyone else does it so I do too...
- Don't want to be noticed for not doing it...
- To make the teacher happy...
- To pass a test...
- To be popular with the other kids when I make the good grades and can help them when they need my help to pass...
- I do what is asked of me...
- I follow the rules...
- Not to end up like a loser...

If these are the wrong reasons...what are the right reasons for doing homework?
- To teach responsibility
- To help learn independence
- Develop time management skills
- Work and learn creativity skills
- Develop commitment to learning
- Become confident
- Enjoy curiosity
- Develop a strong memory

I think it is also a way of keeping parents informed about class activities and policies. Parents should participate in getting the homework completed there are many resources available on the net now a days.
